Angola publishes separate work, privileged-investor, temporary-stay, study and residence-fixation visas. An ordinary or tourist entry does not permit employment, and an investment approval is not a blanket right to work for another entity.
A visa waiver, visitor visa or business-visitor permission is not an open right to take employment or provide local services. Remote work also needs an immigration, labour and tax analysis unless the authority publishes a route that expressly covers it.

Complete the arrival record
Coordinate the Portuguese-language employer, labour and migration file before travel, then complete the residence-card or registration step for the approved category. Retain originals and certified translations.
Inspect names, passport number, sponsor or purpose, permitted activity and expiry on every issued record. Keep the approval, receipt and a copy of the entry stamp outside the passport.
Make housing support the move
Luanda housing decisions must include commute, water, power, internet, security and service charges; provincial or offshore work needs transport and medical-evacuation arrangements in the contract.
Verify landlord authority, lease language, deposit, inventory, utilities, internet and early-exit terms. Keep the real address and payment trail for immigration, banking and employer files.
Set up banking, payroll and tax evidence
Agree salary currency, remittance method, withholding and allowances before arrival. Ask the bank for current residence and source-of-funds evidence and retain official transfer records.
Ask the bank and tax authority for their live identity, permit, address, tax-number and source-of-funds requirements. Immigration status alone does not determine tax residence: retain travel days, payslips, foreign income and business invoices.
Plan each family member and essential service
Each dependant needs their own visa or residence basis and an adult must verify work authority separately. Confirm school seats, transport and insurer evacuation limits before moving the household.
A dependant, student or family residence document should not be treated as an adult work permit without confirmation. Carry legalised civil records, prescriptions, vaccination records and prior-school reports.
