Separate entry, residence and work permission
Guinea’s Border Police portal distinguishes tourist and transit eVisas from long-term employment, business or professional, family and study visas. Use the exact long-term purpose; a tourist eVisa is not a work bridge.
A visa waiver, visitor visa or business-visitor permission is not an open right to take employment or provide local services. Remote work also needs an immigration, labour and tax analysis unless the authority publishes a route that expressly covers it.
| Plan | VisaAtlas route | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| Long-term employment visa | Long Term Visa - Employment | Use for the approved salaried work basis. |
| Long-term business visa | Long Term Visa - Business or Professional Activity | Match company and professional activity. |
| Long-term family visa | Long Term Visa - Family | Family status does not imply work. |
Complete the arrival record
Complete any resident-card, labour and address steps after long-term entry and verify employer or activity and validity. Preserve the PAF approval and French-language evidence.
Inspect names, passport number, sponsor or purpose, permitted activity and expiry on every issued record. Keep the approval, receipt and a copy of the entry stamp outside the passport.
Make housing support the move
Conakry commute, flooding, power and water need inspection, while mining or inland work needs employer transport, communications and medical evacuation.
Verify landlord authority, lease language, deposit, inventory, utilities, internet and early-exit terms. Keep the real address and payment trail for immigration, banking and employer files.
Set up banking, payroll and tax evidence
Agree salary currency, tax, allowances and bank access and retain official transfers. Professional-activity holders should keep company licensing and personal status distinct.
Ask the bank and tax authority for their live identity, permit, address, tax-number and source-of-funds requirements. Immigration status alone does not determine tax residence: retain travel days, payslips, foreign income and business invoices.
Plan each family member and essential service
Long-term family and study visas are separate and do not automatically authorise work. Confirm school, health and evacuation access for the actual location.
A dependant, student or family residence document should not be treated as an adult work permit without confirmation. Carry legalised civil records, prescriptions, vaccination records and prior-school reports.
Control renewal, changes and current risk
Renew the long-term status and work authority before expiry and clear employer changes. Check road, border and public-health advice before movement.
Read current official travel advice for Guinea, the exact region and any overland route before travel. Confirm that insurance covers the location and planned work.
