Visa Atlas provides immigration information and browser-based tools. Find My Route saves your answers in this browser so you can return to them. Its matching runs locally; our custom analytics events do not include those answers, calculator inputs or results.

Optional analytics

Umami visitor statistics

Unless you have turned analytics off, we use Umami Cloud to measure page views and estimate visitor numbers without analytics cookies or a cookie-acceptance requirement. We send page paths, referrers without query strings or fragments, browser language and screen size. We do not send page titles, search terms, form answers, calculator inputs, custom user identifiers or tool-use events to Umami. Session replay is not enabled.

Umami receives network requests, including your IP address and browser information; cookieless does not mean no information is processed. Its documentation says IP addresses are not stored and describes how visitor estimates are calculated. These estimates may miss blocked requests or include automated visits: they are not an exact count of people. Our current free plan retains analytics for six months. We also enable Umami's support for the browser Do Not Track setting. See Umami's privacy policy and metric definitions.

Google Analytics

Unless you have turned analytics off, we load Google Analytics with analytics cookie storage denied by default. This sends limited, cookieless measurements of page use to Google without reading or writing analytics cookies. Cookieless does not mean that no information leaves your browser: Google receives network requests and information about the page and browser. We do not describe this as fully anonymous tracking.

If you choose “Allow analytics cookies”, Google Analytics can use cookies to measure visits, and we enable limited custom tool-use events, such as opening a suggested route or changing a fee calculation. Our custom events contain a tool identifier, not your answers. Our page-view events omit URL query strings and fragments. Advertising storage, advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled in our tag configuration.

Use the on-screen Analytics preferences panel to keep cookieless measurement, allow analytics cookies, or turn analytics off entirely. You can reopen the panel from Analytics preferences at the bottom of any page. Previous opt-outs remain respected. Turning analytics off does not disable any tool. Your preference is stored in this browser; if storage is unavailable, we do not load analytics without a choice, and cannot remember that choice across page loads.

Turning analytics off stops future collection by both services and, when your choice can be saved, reloads the page to unload their tags. Switching from analytics cookies to cookieless measurement also reloads the page when possible; it does not erase information already sent to Google or Umami. Existing cookies can be removed in your browser settings. See Google’s privacy policy for its handling of information.

Optional affiliate referrals

Our locally displayed advertisements do not load affiliate scripts, pixels, widgets or external images. If you allow referral cookies before leaving, Awin can set referral cookies and share a click identifier with the named retailer to attribute a qualifying purchase to VisaAtlas. This is not a cookie-free journey. Without permission, our links go directly to the retailer without VisaAtlas affiliate parameters.

Permission is specific to Awin and the named retailer, for purchase attribution. It is separate from analytics and the retailer’s own marketing choices. We do not send passport nationality, occupation, visa answers, financial information or your current page path to advertisers. The referral includes a coarse destination, page family and task reference. The network and retailer receive normal network/browser information when you leave.

We remember only the decision, recipients, purpose, notice version and decision/expiry dates in this browser, without creating a visitor identifier. Permission lasts up to 30 days; refusal or withdrawal applies to all Awin referrals for up to 180 days. These are preference periods, separate from an advertiser’s attribution window and the lifetime of its cookies. Closing an ad hides that retailer for the current tab visit. Existing referral refusals remain respected; old Saily permission is not treated as Awin permission.

Optional offer measurement requires a separate choice plus analytics-cookie permission. It sends aggregate merchant, page family, destination, task, creative version and consent-state events through Google Analytics, with the page path and referrer removed. No custom affiliate events are sent to Umami. Browser Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control, automated browser tests and preview disable this measurement. Refusing measurement does not change navigation.

Use Referral tracking choices to refuse or withdraw future referrals and clear publisher-controlled permissions. Withdrawal cannot delete cookies or data on Awin or retailer domains; use their own controls, browser settings and privacy contacts. Awin describes its technology-specific retention and data-rights process in its privacy policy. The retailer’s own cookie controls still apply. A referral does not guarantee commission.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Railway) records standard server logs for uptime and abuse handling. These may include request paths, user-agent strings and IP addresses. We do not claim that hosting logs are anonymous or automatically truncated; retention and access depend on the hosting configuration.

Third parties

Government sources we link to operate under their own privacy policies. Clicking an outbound link is a new request to that third party.
