Spain moving checklist

Complete only the items that apply to your nationality, route, work and family. The sequence protects deadlines and avoids treating an NIE, padrón or private contract as legal status.

Use dependencies, not a universal packing list

Finish immigration and document-validity decisions before irreversible bookings. Address, TIE, healthcare and banking steps follow arrival but vary by route. Keep originals, scans, translations and receipts together.

Mark an item not applicable with the reason rather than deleting it. That record helps when a family member, employer or renewal later asks what was done.

The critical path

The practical order is status, valid documents, insurance, entry, verified address, padrón, TIE if required, healthcare basis, tax and work registration, banking and bills. Driving, school and pets have separate clocks that can start before travel.

Use the responsible consulate, ayuntamiento, police office, regional health service, Tax Agency and DGT channel for your case. Appointment availability never changes the underlying deadline.

Your moving checklist

Tick off the tasks that apply to you. The timing is a planning order, not a substitute for the deadlines on your permission or an official instruction.
