Student Permit

Overview

This is Fiji's Student Permit for a non-citizen accepted to study at a recognised institution in Fiji. You apply with an acceptance letter for the current academic year and show you can support yourself during your studies. It is issued by the Ministry of Immigration. A spouse and dependent children can usually be included so they can reside with you. The permit covers your period of study and is renewed as your course continues; it is not in itself a route to settlement.

1. 01

   Check the route fit

   Confirm your institution is recognised and you have an acceptance letter for the current year, using the official Ministry of Immigration page.

2. 02

   Build the evidence pack

   Gather the acceptance letter, proof of funds, passport, photographs, request letter, police clearance and a recent medical report.

3. 03

   Submit through the official channel

   Lodge the Student Permit application with the Ministry of Immigration, including any spouse and children on the same form where they will reside with you.

4. 04

   After approval

   Travel to Fiji to begin your course and renew the permit as your studies continue.
