Senegal may allow short visa-free entry for some passports, but longer residence and employment require the foreigner identity-card and worker declaration process that applies. Short admission is not open work permission.
A visa waiver, visitor visa or business-visitor permission is not an open right to take employment or provide local services. Remote work also needs an immigration, labour and tax analysis unless the authority publishes a route that expressly covers it.

Complete the arrival record
Assemble the French-language passport, entry, address, civil and employment evidence and submit the foreigner-card file promptly. Keep the receipt and confirm any police or labour declaration.
Inspect names, passport number, sponsor or purpose, permitted activity and expiry on every issued record. Keep the approval, receipt and a copy of the entry stamp outside the passport.
Make housing support the move
Dakar commute, flooding exposure and utilities vary by neighbourhood; regional assignments add healthcare and road planning. Verify landlord authority and retain an address that supports registration.

Set up banking, payroll and tax evidence
Confirm local payroll, social and tax registration with the employer and ask the bank for the foreigner-card stage it accepts. Keep CFA and foreign-transfer records.
Ask the bank and tax authority for their live identity, permit, address, tax-number and source-of-funds requirements. Immigration status alone does not determine tax residence: retain travel days, payslips, foreign income and business invoices.
Plan each family member and essential service
Give each dependant a residence and school file and do not infer work rights from family status. Check French-language curriculum, transport and medical evacuation outside Dakar.
A dependant, student or family residence document should not be treated as an adult work permit without confirmation. Carry legalised civil records, prescriptions, vaccination records and prior-school reports.
Control renewal, changes and current risk
