Rule changes note —Senegal publishes current public entry guidance through the Foreign Affairs ministry and tourism agency, and publishes foreigner identity-card procedure detail through the Interior ministry. The reviewed source set is strongest for short-stay entry rules, the foreigner identity card and worker declaration steps. It does not expose a separate public foreign-work-permit checklist, so employment pages should be read as residence/identity-card plus labour-declaration guidance, not as a standalone work-permit substitute.

Overview

Interior's carte d'identite d'etranger checklist includes student-specific evidence. Students are asked for a certificate of school or university enrolment for the current academic year and, for students, a certificate confirming support or scholarship issued by the interested person's embassy. Those documents sit alongside the ordinary foreigner-card evidence: handwritten request, valid passport copies, criminal-record extract, birth extract, medical certificate, photos, fiscal stamp and repatriation-deposit receipt.

ℹ️ Who can apply?

You do not need a job offer or employer to apply for the Student Foreigner Identity Card. This route does not lead to permanent residence. Open to qualifying applicants from all countries.
