Rule changes note —Senegal publishes current public entry guidance through the Foreign Affairs ministry and tourism agency, and publishes foreigner identity-card procedure detail through the Interior ministry. The reviewed source set is strongest for short-stay entry rules, the foreigner identity card and worker declaration steps. It does not expose a separate public foreign-work-permit checklist, so employment pages should be read as residence/identity-card plus labour-declaration guidance, not as a standalone work-permit substitute.

Overview

The Interior ministry publishes a carte d'identite d'etranger procedure. The first-request evidence list includes a handwritten request addressed to the minister responsible for the Interior, copies of the first five pages of a valid passport, criminal-record extract from the country of origin under three months old, birth extract under six months old, medical certificate under three months old, three identity photos, a 15,000 F CFA fiscal stamp, and proof of payment of the repatriation deposit, whose amount varies by country. The procedure is filed with the Division des Polices des Etrangers and then moves through Interior administration for decision, production and distribution.
