Monthly Immigration Figure Changes

A month-by-month archive of recorded immigration fee, salary-threshold and processing-time movements, with old value, new value, source URL and same-month policy context.

This is an archive of recorded old-to-new movements in Visa Atlas figures. It is not a complete global census of every policy change, and a verified current figure may not appear here unless a prior value is recorded.

By Sam Parks, Editor and lead researcher.

Key findings

  • The public fact-change feed currently records 7 figure movements across 5 calendar months.
  • The latest recorded movement month is March 2026, with 1 movement.
  • The archive is generated from /api/public/fact-changes; same-month policy context is pulled from /api/public/policy-updates.
  • Each movement links back to its current owning page and to the source-backed changelog record, so the old value, new value, date and source can be cited at row level.

Latest month: March 2026

Same-month policy context

  • United States: US: premium processing rises to $2,965 and H-1B moves to wage-weighted selection

Two USCIS changes land for the FY2027 H-1B season: the Form I-907 premium-processing fee rises with inflation, and cap-subject H-1B selection switches from a random lottery to a wage-weighted process.

Methodology

A month-by-month archive of recorded immigration figure movements: old value, new value, effective month, owning page and source URL, with same-month policy context where available.

  • Period: calendar-month; rows are grouped by each fact change's changedOn month.
  • Every public fact-change record is grouped by changedOn month. Same-month policy updates are included only as context, not counted as figure movements.
  • Each movement keeps its old value, new value, current owning page, source URL and row-level changelog anchor.
  • Policy context is included for the same month, but policy rows are not counted as figure movements.

Limits

  • This is an archive of recorded Visa Atlas figure movements, not a complete global census of every immigration-policy change.
  • Months with no recorded old-to-new figure movement are omitted from the month list.
  • A current figure can be verified and source-linked without appearing here if Visa Atlas has not recorded a prior value for it.
