12-Month Barbados Welcome Stamp

Overview

The 12-Month Barbados Welcome Stamp is a remote-work visa introduced in 2020 for people whose work is location-independent - remote employees, freelancers and business owners serving clients outside Barbados - and their families. It is valid for up to one year and you can reapply afterwards. Good to know: this is a temporary remote-work visa and it does not lead to permanent residence or settlement in Barbados. It is administered with the official tourism authority alongside the Immigration Department.

1. 01

   Check the route fit

   Confirm on the official Welcome Stamp page that your work is location-independent for a non-Barbadian employer or clients and that you meet the income level.

2. 02

   Build the evidence pack

   Gather passports for everyone included, proof of remote work and income, and a passport photograph.

3. 03

   Submit through the official channel

   Apply online through the official Welcome Stamp portal and pay the fee.

4. 04

   After approval

   Once approved, base yourself in Barbados for up to a year; reapply if you want to stay longer, remembering this does not build toward permanent residence.
