Rule changes note —This Gabon packet is deliberately limited to live, valid-HTTPS official eVisa sources. DGDI residence-card forms were reviewed during research, but the public DGDI document host was not suitable for automated liveness checks on 2026-06-28. Applicants planning to settle, work long term or request a residence card should confirm the current process directly with DGDI or eDGDI before relying on any checklist.

Overview

The Gabon eVisa application content says an eVisa, like other visas issued by the Gabonese Republic, may be extended by going to the visa department of DGDI in Libreville. It then gives duration-specific limits: a one-month visa may be extended for two months, a two-month visa may be extended for one month, and three-month or six-month visas are not extended. This makes extension planning important before travel: if the traveller already knows they may need more than three months, relying on an extension after arrival is risky and may be unavailable.

ℹ️ Who can apply?

You do not need a job offer or employer to apply for the eVisa Extension. This route does not lead to permanent residence. Open to qualifying applicants from all countries.
