Family / Follower Residency

Overview

This is Jordan's family or "follower" residency - the residence permit for a spouse and dependent children who join a primary resident in Jordan, whether that resident is a foreign worker, investor or a Jordanian family member. It is administered by the Ministry of Interior through the Public Security Directorate, and the Ministry lists it as "Family/Follower Residency". The permit is tied to the primary person's status and to the genuine family relationship, and it is generally renewed annually alongside theirs.    Gather the marriage or birth certificate, the primary resident's permit details and the relevant passports and documents.

   Submit through the official channel

   Apply for the family / follower residency through the Ministry of Interior service as instructed.

   After approval

   Join your family member in Jordan and renew the follower residency annually alongside the primary resident's permit.
