Overview
The family residence permit is granted to the foreign spouse, minor or dependent children, and dependent family members of a Turkish citizen or of a foreigner holding a valid residence permit. It is issued for a maximum of two years at a time and cannot exceed the sponsor permit duration. The permit entitles the holder to primary and secondary education until age 18 without a separate student residence permit.
