Hungary uses separate immigration, accommodation, tax and health identifiers. Choose a permit that actually allows the planned work and family pattern, then sequence Enter Hungary reporting, document delivery, payroll and TAJ administration around a usable address.
Before travel
Choose a permit that allows the exact employer, remote activity and family pattern.
On arrival
Register accommodation through Enter Hungary and save the certificate.
First month
Agree whether you or the employer files T34 and obtain the tax identification code.
Later
Report any accommodation change within three days and retain the new certificate.
Slovak Republic
EU movers use free-movement registration; third-country nationals need a residence purpose that matches the activity. Slovakia’s process is document-sensitive, so settle the application location, certified translations and accommodation evidence before the move, then complete arrival and insurance duties promptly.
Before travel
Choose EU registration, single permit, Blue Card, business, study or family status for each mover.
On arrival
Report the start of stay within three working days for a third-country national or ten working days for an EU citizen, unless the accommodation provider completes it.
First month
Apply to the chosen health insurer within eight days after Slovak insurance liability starts.
Later
Ask the traffic inspectorate about exchange after 185 days of registered residence.
