Overview
The Hungarian Card (Hungarian residence permit) is for third-country nationals with appropriate higher-level professional qualifications taking up skilled employment in Hungary. It was introduced under the new admission regime that took effect on 1 March 2024 and allows a stay of up to three years, extendable. It is a sponsored skilled route distinct from the EU Blue Card and can build toward permanent residence.
