Temporary Residence for Family (Armenia)

Overview

Temporary residence on family grounds is granted to close family members of Armenian citizens or of foreign nationals lawfully residing in Armenia, decided by the Migration and Citizenship Service. You evidence the family relationship along with the usual identity and health documents. It is a settlement-capable route, with lawful time counting toward permanent residence, and spouses and close relatives of Armenian citizens may also have a faster citizenship path. Armenia is not in the EU.

Application pathway

1. 01

   Check the route fit

   Confirm your qualifying family relationship with an Armenian citizen or lawful resident.

2. 02

   Build the evidence pack

   Assemble your translated passport, relationship certificates, the family member's status proof, photographs and health reference.

3. 03

   Submit through the official channel

   Apply through the Migration and Citizenship Service - online from 1 August 2026 - and pay the state fee.

4. 04

   After approval

   Attend in person for your residence card, renew before expiry, and track time toward permanent residence or a faster citizenship path.
