Rule changes note —Cameroon publishes visa procedure and fees through MINREX and the official eVisa portal, and publishes stay-card, resident-card and refugee-card requirements through DGSN identity-title guidance. The reviewed public source set is strong for visa and residence documentation, but the labour ministry site was not reachable during review, so employment cases are presented as long-stay visa and stay-card documentation rather than a standalone work-permit route.

Overview

MINREX says entry visas, depending on the case, are now delivered with multiple entries and extended durations: the long-stay visa runs up to twelve months. The online process uses the same eVisaCam pre-enrolment route as short-stay visas: the applicant files the form, uploads supporting documents, pays online, and then follows either the QR-code online-authorisation path or a consular biometric-enrolment appointment. DGSN separately says a first carte de sejour application needs a valid passport bearing a long-stay visa, so applicants who intend to remain in Cameroon should treat the long-stay visa and stay-card process as linked steps.

ℹ️ Who can apply?

You do not need a job offer or employer to apply for the Long-Stay eVisa. This route does not lead to permanent residence. Open to qualifying applicants from all countries.
