Overview

INM publishes a checklist for extranjeros estudiantes. It asks for an application to the INM Executive Director, legal representation, recent photograph, origin/last-residence criminal-record certificate where applicable, DPI certificate for adults, medical certificate, authenticated passport copy, responsibility letter for subsistence and departure after studies, admission certificate from the institution where the foreigner will study or complete a professional internship, proof of means during studies, parental authorisation and birth certificate for minors, and the student-permit fee. Documents from abroad must be legalised and officially translated into Spanish where required.
