Overview
Latvia's Digital Nomad Visa, available since 2024, is a long-stay (type D) visa for non-EU nationals who work remotely for an employer registered in an OECD member state, or who are self-employed and registered in one. You show a recent work history and income above the required level, and the PMLP issues the visa for up to a year, renewable once. Good to know: this is a visa, not a residence permit - importantly, it does not give you the right to work the Latvian labour market or for Latvian clients, and it is not designed as a settlement route. It is for keeping your foreign remote income while based in Latvia.
