Overview
The study residence permit is for non-EU nationals admitted to an accredited educational institution in Latvia. You evidence your enrolment along with means of support, accommodation and health insurance, and the PMLP decides the permit, which you renew for the duration of your course. It is not a direct settlement route, and study time usually counts only in part toward EU long-term residence, but many graduates move on to a work, Blue Card or startup permit afterwards.
