Temporary Residence for Family Reunification (Lithuania)

Overview

Family reunification lets the spouse and minor children, and in some cases other dependent relatives, of a foreign national holding a qualifying Lithuanian residence permit - or of a Lithuanian citizen - join them. The application is made through MIGRIS to the Migration Department, which assesses the relationship, the sponsor's status, accommodation and means of support. It is a settlement-capable route, and as Lithuania is an EU member, lawful time counts toward EU long-term residence alongside the sponsor.
