Rule changes note —Senegal publishes current public entry guidance through the Foreign Affairs ministry and tourism agency, and publishes foreigner identity-card procedure detail through the Interior ministry. The reviewed source set is strongest for short-stay entry rules, the foreigner identity card and worker declaration steps. It does not expose a separate public foreign-work-permit checklist, so employment pages should be read as residence/identity-card plus labour-declaration guidance, not as a standalone work-permit substitute.

Overview

Senegal Foreign Affairs says the entry-visa rules changed from 1 May 2015. Nationals of the listed African, European and other countries do not need a visa for a stay of less than three months, but they must hold a passport or laissez-passer issued by that country and valid for at least six months. The tourism agency repeats the same practical rule and country list. This page is an entry condition only: it does not authorise employment, study enrolment or long-stay residence.

ℹ️ Who can apply?
