Overview

Uganda's permit framework covers multiple entry-permit classes. The official work-permit page says a work permit allows the applicant to live and work in Uganda and is always sponsored by an organisation or company with a mandatory organisation code. The entry-permit page lists classes for government employment, shareholders in agriculture, agro-processing, mining, trade and manufacturing, specified professionals, NGO missionaries and volunteers, salaried NGO employees, rare skilled expatriates and ordinary residents with outside income.
