Overview
The study residence permit is for third-country nationals admitted to an accredited educational institution in Slovenia. You evidence your enrolment along with the usual identity, accommodation, health-insurance and means-of-support documents, and apply at a Slovenian mission abroad or, if eligible, an administrative unit. It is renewed for the duration of your course. It is not a direct settlement route, and study time usually counts only in part toward EU long-term residence, but Slovenia offers a post-study job-seeking option, and many graduates move on to a work or other permit afterwards.
