Overview
The official PSA page says the Personas of Surinamese Origin document is issued by the foreign ministry and formalises the relationship between Suriname and Surinamese people abroad who hold another nationality. Eligible categories include people born in Suriname, people with at least one parent of Surinamese origin, people with at least one grandparent of Surinamese origin, lawful partners where they rely on the PSA holder, and minor children of people of Surinamese origin. The page says the digital PSA document is issued for five years, payment is fully digital through the PSA web application, and a valid PSA document holder does not need a visa or entry fee, may stay six months continuously with extension up to a total of twelve months, may work in Suriname without the work permit otherwise required for foreigners, and may qualify for a Suriname ID card after registration in Suriname.
