Overview

Bolivia migration regulation defines permanencia temporal por trabajo for foreign nationals who carry out remunerated or lucrative tasks, with or without an employment relationship, or activities under state or private agreements, in Bolivian territory. Temporary permanence can be issued for one, two or three years depending on the activity. The regulation also states that the Ministry of Labour verifies foreign work contracts when it visas contracts, and that self-employed foreign nationals carrying out remunerated or lucrative work must register in the ROE employer register where applicable.

ℹ️ Who can apply?

You do not need a job offer or employer to apply for the Temporary Work Residence (Permanencia Temporal). This route can lead to permanent residence. Open to qualifying applicants from all countries.
